Please read carefully the Information Privacy Policy below (shortened to as the “Privacy Policy”) to fully understand how and why we use our Customer’s personal data so that the Customer can access the website https://www.gigex.io (“Website”) successfully. GIG Dollar is invested & managed by GIG Capital Fund, a project to apply blockchain technology to tokenize assets. This privacy policy will represent the legal basis for GIG Dollar & GIG Exchange. So when we refer to the entity “GIG,” “GIG Dollar,” “GIG Capital,” “GIG Exchange,” “we,” “our” in this Privacy Policy, we mean to the relevant legal entities belonging to GIG Exchange, which will be responsible for the processing of Customer’s data. We will inform the Customer about the legal entity that will manage and process data when the Customer registers for any GIG service

This Privacy Policy applies to all platforms, websites, and departments of GIG Dollar and GIG Exchange tokenized property exchange. By using GIG Exchange Services, you are consenting to the collection, storage, processing and transfer of your personal information as described in this Privacy Policy. GIG International Investment Limited, a company registered at House of Francis, Room 303, Ile Du Port, Mahe, Seychelles, is the data controller for personal information collected in connection with the provision of GIG services.

What types of personal information do we collect?

Transaction services. We use your personal information to process your orders, and to communicate with you about orders and services

Contact with you. We use your personal information to contact you in relation to GIG Services

We collect and process identity information and Sensitive Personal Data (as detailed in section 1) to comply with our KYC - Know Your Customer obligations under applicable laws and regulations, and Anti-Money Laundering laws and regulations

GIG Share My Personal Information?

Information about our users is an important part of our business and GIG is not in the business of selling our users' personal information to others. GIG shares users' personal information only as described below and with the subsidiaries or affiliates of GIG that are either subject to this Privacy Notice or follow practices at least as protective as those described in this Privacy Notice.

Third party service providers: We employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples include analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, processing payments, transmitting section, and assessing and managing credit risk. How does GIG protect the confidentiality and security of personal information?

GIG places your account information on the secure portion of our website, using firewalls and other security technology to protect our network and systems from external attacks, and GIG requires you to enter a unique username and password to access your account information online. Our servers are enabled with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to prevent unauthorized parties from viewing the personal information that you provide or access during a secure session (look for the padlock icon on your browser). In addition, if you access information online, GIG uses digital certificate services to authenticate that you are transacting with our website and not the website of an impostor.

If EU data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, we will ensure that the receiving party is in full compliance with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) rules through contractual clauses.

Our employees and third party service providers have access to your personal information only on a "need to know" basis. GIG conducts regular internal audits of our business practices and procedures in order to protect your personal information.

GIG may transfer your data outside of the EEA - European Economic Area. What Information Can I Access?

You can access your information, including your name, address, payment options, profile information, and transaction history in the "Your Account" section of the website.

What Rights Do I Have?
  • Right to access: you have the right to obtain confirmation that your Data are processed and to obtain a copy of it as well as certain information related to its processing;
  • Right to rectify: you can request the rectification of your Data which are inaccurate, and also add to it. You can also change your personal information in your Account at any time

How Long Does GIG Keep My Personal Information?

We keep your personal information to enable your continued use of GIG Services, for as long as it is required in order to fulfill the relevant purposes described in this Privacy Notice, and as may be required by law such as for tax and accounting purposes, compliance with Anti-Money Laundering laws, or as otherwise communicated to you.

Personal data breach policy

Data breaches may be caused by employees, parties external to the organization, or computer system errors. GIG is legally required to notify affected individuals if their personal data has been breached. This will encourage individuals to take preventive measures to reduce the impact of the data breach. We will notify affected individuals within 72 hours if a data breach involves sensitive personal data. In addition we will notify users as soon as the data breach is resolved. Information will be officially communicated via e-mail and our blog.

Updates to This Policy

GIG may amend this policy from time to time. The revisions will take effect on the date of publication of the amended policy, as stated. We will notify you through our website of any material changes to the policy. In the event that the changes we make to the policy are substantial or affect the personal information we have already collected in accordance with this policy, you will be entitled to withdraw your consent to such personal information handling practices provided such consent is not necessary for us to provide to you the services or products you have requested.
